PremaYoga is a culmination of Hatha Yoga, healing breath, and embodiment meditations. One might also call the practice Embodied Presence.
A typical session includes an integration of both movement and stillness. The philosophy is to support students in opening back to their essential nature or essence. Also called Sat Chit Ananda.
Sacred and safe space are always the base for these sessions as Lisa Marie includes 20 years experience as an energy facilitator. Her training as a Biodynamic Cranial Sacral therapist and Reiki Master create a spacious field for others to truly let go in. Individual healing touch is an integral part of each session.
PremaYoga integreates Hatha Yoga, Yin, and Therapeutic into the teachings for balance. Sequencing is created for each individual group setting to fit the needs of the whole. Individual modifications are made to support students who are injured, or less experienced. Students with illness can participate in most parts of the sessions.
Healing breath is taught as a tool to bridge the gap between body and mind, thus becoming whole again. As students use healing breath to become more intimate with themselves they are able to free themselves of habitual holding.
Realizing ourselves as wholeness, and feeling our essence is the primary focus of the embodiment exercises. As we let ourselves integrate and release from the holding in both the mind and body we feel and sense ourselves as whole beings. We come home again. Embodied meditation is integrated into all parts of the practice, as well as in the seated meditations.
